XLAM GLT
GLT is used in a wide variety of applications due to its versatility, strength, durability, and visual qualities.
The renowned natural strength of timber is enhanced with the glue laminating process, resulting in a product that is an ideal alternative for steel.
Glue Laminated Timber (GLT), or glulam, is an engineered wood product consisting of multiple layers of timber bonded together with moisture-resistant adhesives, forming a strong and flexible material suitable for structural beams and columns.
GLT is known for its superior strength-to-weight ratio, making it an ideal material for applications requiring robust support, such as beams and columns.
Suitable for single storey, mid-rise and high-rise applications. GLT beams can be used for the following applications alongside CLT to form a structure made completely with mass timber or used in conjunction with other building materials.
Applications: Lintels, Columns, Beams, Rafters
